Hello! My name is Betina Hafeman. You can usually find me behind my camera, goofing off with our four dogs and two cats, rambling on a hike, jogging, reading a good book, dabbling on the piano, spending quality time with friends, my husband & family or contentedly curled up somewhere quiet photo editing.
I discovered photography about 12 years ago. It began as a way for me to reconnect with life. It was a practiced method of pausing, breathing, and marveling with new eyes at how intricate our world is made. The closer I looked, the more enthralled I became. From the whisper in a rain drop, to the song of a waterfall, to the mighty roar of ocean waves, my mind and heart steadily acknowledged that life was a gift. There was a great Creator not just behind all this, but like a true, impassioned artist, His signature and love was woven into it. As a parent loves, guides and marvels at their child, I felt Him pursuing me. And I chose to pursue and understand Him more. To reflect this same thought, care, and love to the people around me. I’ve been given so much. I find contentment and purpose in giving it back. Photography is an effective way to connect me to my gifts and to share it with others.
My passion, my mission, is to help you capture all of life’s moments. To have a way of encapsulating a heartbeat in time. Life is truly sacred – our adventures, our journeys, our emotions and growth. For me to play a part in witnessing that, in celebrating that is an absolute joy and honor. From candid, journalistic shoots to lightly directed ones I will do my utmost to bring back to you images you love, your passions and intricate nuances.
